LOWCARB/DAS: Lose fat instead of Lose weight

Ok last week, I have wrote a post about "why you shouldn't calories?", right? Today, I will also explain why you follow DAS, your body measurements are decrease but not your weight. Now, let's take a look!

Encapsulating our skeletal system consists of two components, which are flesh and fat. Due to the density of fat is heavier than flesh. So with the same volume, the volume of fat bulge more than flesh.

When we follow traditional diet mode based on low calories and high carb principles. Then the body will burn both flesh and fat in proportion 70-30. That means flesh part is primarily (70) while burning fat is very low (30) -> Lose weight, but the body would be tremble, not toned. Because flesh is a very important part of creating curves, having a healthy body. And fat is only tremble, and sagging. It means we are obese, the body measurements become bigger is all because of fat. So for traditional diet, we only lose “flesh” weight but not having a firm, healthy and beautiful body.

However, when you follow DAS, your body works on mechanism Fat Metabolism – fat burning. The body turns into fat burning machine continuously -> body fat burned -> reduced fat. But due to the density of fat is a lot lighter than flesh. Therefore, when the volume of fat dropped 10 parts, we see 2-3 parts weight of flesh. And this is why we see the body measurements decreased, but less weight loss.

These days, in the nutrition industry, as well as modern diet, or the method of training the model, they do not use BMI concept outdated anymore. Instead, the concept of Body Fat. They do not care about your weight, but your body fat percentage. The lower percentage body fat, the more body toned, beautiful, glamorous and sexy. In a nutshell, is how to lose fat instead of lose weight. Not care about how much weight loss, but only interested in reducing fat.
